Originally from south of Atlanta, Doug obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, but he has called the Triad home ever since he moved to Winston-Salem to attend Wake Forest University School of Law. While in law school, Doug served as an editor of the Wake Forest Law Review, earned the highest course grade in his class in both contracts and constitutional law, and was awarded both the Law School Merit Scholarship and the Lee Davis Merit Scholarship.
Doug has helped thousands of injured workers and recovered many millions of dollars for his clients. As recognition of his professional excellence, he was named a Rising Star in the area of workers’ compensation by Super Lawyers Magazine. He is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the North Carolina and Forsyth County Bar Associations. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and cooking as well as cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.
